The Miss Clinton County Scholarship Program is the longest running competition in the state of Iowa.
Each year the Miss Clinton County program awards the titles of Miss Clinton County and Miss Clinton County’s Teen. We encourage all young women who live, work, or go to school in Iowa to participate. This is a great way to harness professional skills, serve your community, earn scholarships, meet amazing people, and have a fun time while doing it!

Working as an esthetician, nail technician, and makeup artist allows her to share her passion for self-care and self-love every day.

In 2022 she was introduced to the Miss America Opportunity through the Miss Iowa Rising Stars program. After meeting and connecting with so many young women in Rising Stars, Kate’s daughter decided to compete with the unaffiliated Miss Iowa Youth Program where she has held the titles of Li’l and Junior Miss Clinton County.
As a board member of the Miss Clinton County Scholarship Program, Kate hopes to support the next titleholders in making a difference in Clinton County and across the state.

Alysa Goethe
Alysa has been involved with the Miss Iowa Scholarship Program for 14 years as a contestant, titleholder, and mentor. She has held various titles in the Junior, Teen, and Miss divisions, and held the title of Miss Clinton County 2019/2020.
Most recently, Alysa served the state as Miss Iowa 2023, having traveled 50,000 miles across 8 states and 80 counties during her year. She competed at Miss America 2024 in January as the first diabetic Miss Iowa and the only contestant to have diabetes.
Outside of pageantry, Alysa has used her Miss Iowa experience to transition from her role as a public school music teacher to a Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for Iowa Diabetes in West Des Moines. Her time in the Miss Iowa program has given her professional opportunities and opened many doors through the network and development it provides.
She is excited to experience life on the other side of the program and give back to the Miss Clinton County Scholarship Program.
